Kari A. Beckman, PH.D. Licensed Phychologist, Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy

About Dr. Beckman

I am a clinical psychologist with experience working with individuals and couples in private practice since 1994. My educational background and training has been broad and diverse, and I have knowledge across a range of psychological theories of development, psychopathology and treatment. In my approach, I draw from many schools of thought including psychoanalytic, psychodynamic, feminist, biopsychosocial, cognitive behavioral, and mindfulness. This provides me with a broad foundation upon which to understand your specific concerns, and informs me in considering the treatment approaches that would best suit you.

In addition to my experience working in private practice, I have also worked in an outpatient mental health center, in a large medical center, in inpatient mental health hospitals and in a neurological rehabilitation center. I engage in ongoing professional consultation with colleagues as a part of my ongoing professional education.
